If you’ve been keeping up with the political scene since the election and inauguration of President Donald Trump, you’ve likely noticed the insane amount of hatred the liberal media has for the new administration.
While a huge chunk of these so-called journalists want you to believe all Democrats are the sworn enemies of The Donald, a new poll done by the Institute of Governmental Studies out of Berkeley tells a different tale.
Yes, shockingly, California. Berkeley, that town where a rent-a-mob practically ran conservative pundit Milo Yiannopoulos out of town on a rail.
Breitbart is reporting, A new poll by the Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS) at UC Berkeley shows that a majority of registered voters in California want the state’s elected Democrats to work with President Donald Trump rather than to resist his agenda.
The poll reveals that “by a 53 percent to 47 percent margin, slightly more voters prefer that when state leaders disagree with the president they should try to work with him even if it means making compromises, rather than opposing him if it risks negative consequences and losses in federal funding.”
Voters prefer that Democrats work with Trump even though 61 percent disapprove of the job he is doing, according to the poll, which surveyed 1,000 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.6 percent.
In fact, the poll found that Trump has lower approval ratings than any U.S. president at this point in his presidency since the poll began, with President John F. Kennedy in 1961.
In addition, the poll finds that Californians reject “CalExit” and proposals to secede from the Union by more than a two-to-one margin, 68 percent to 32 percent. Republicans (85 percent no, 15 percent yes) are more opposed than Democrats (56 percent no, 44 percent yes) to seceding.
The poll also found that California voters approve of Trump’s policies on infrastructure, the economy and jobs — and disapprove of his policies on every other issue. Trump rated lowest on his policies on the environment, and on minority groups.
What would make liberals who vehemently disagree with Trump’s agenda and how he’s carrying it out, want Democrats to work with him on anything?
Perhaps it’s because deep down we’re all American citizens who have simply gotten tired of being snowballed by politicians who do nothing but fight with each other and lie to us to get reelected, all the while getting jack squat done?
In reality, it’s well past time for us as Americans to find our common ground and work together toward getting those issues resolved, making this country a better place for our posterity, and then work on hashing out the areas of disagreement.
Just imagine what we could accomplish.
